Peat – is one of the richest natural constituent elements for its summation of characteristics and the domain of its exertions.
Peat – is a fuelling minerals which conforms under the agglomeration of plants that undergoes incomplete putrefaction in the areas of swamps. The sediment on the surface of soil is characterized for incomplete organic material under the circumstances of surplusage of water and deficiency of oxygen, which further pass into the peat.

Upstream peat is formed under the influence of precipitation and when the Scotch fir, cotton-grass and sphagnum are decomposed. Upstream peat of lurid and brown colour is produced of upstream sphagnum swamps.
Bottom peat is formed under the influence of subterranean water and putrefaction of green moss, alder and sedge. In general, bottom peat is used like fertilizer. The basic aspect of usage bottom peat is manuring. The degree of putrefaction of peat differs: weakly-putrefied, middle-putrefied, strongly-putrefied.
The strongly-putrefied peat is better used fertilization.
Various raw material and extended range of changeable clauses of accumulation of peat is the cause of great variety of its’ features which spot the broad range of its’ exertions.
The word-wide leader of digging peat is Finland. Besides, it’s word-widely spread in Belarus, Ukraine, Sweden, Canada, Latvia, Russia.
About 70 % of produced peat is used in agriculture and about 30% of peateat goes to producing fuel.
